What should you teach them? How can you respond to fear, aggression, anxiety, or other challenging situations? And what can you do to help them understand that they are finally safe? Here, you’ll find guidance, practical tips, and advice for navigating everyday situations with a rescued animal and building a strong, trusting relationship with them.

Hello! My name is Grete and in May, I adopted a cat who had been mistreated by her previous owners. At first, I had no idea how to behave around her or how to help her feel safe. I didn’t know what she needed, what scared her or how much patience she would need to trust me. Now, almost half a year later, Iris has completely transformed. She lives like a little queen, feels safe and loved and has become incredibly trusting with me. Seeing how much she has changed has taught me so much about traumatized animals, patience, trust and unconditional love and I like to share my experience with you :)
